Protecting power distribution systems with modified differential ground faults

In power distribution systems that rely on parallel energy inputs, or include multiple inputs that are switched in and out, it is critical to protect the system from ground faults. Rather than simply disconnecting the entire system, though, modified differential ground fault protection systems allow only the faulted equipment to be disconnected while the rest of the system remains operational.
